Eric Clausen

Eric chose to pursue the study of law after completing his undergraduate degree in Technology, where he was the top-performing student in his program. As someone who had the benefit of experience from several careers prior to practicing law, most notably as a journeyman boatbuilder and professional mariner, fisherman, and business owner, Eric brings practical skills and expertise to his practice developed over many years of varied experiences. Eric has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia and is focused on litigation, although Eric maintains a limited solicitor’s practice.

Eric is particularly interested in maritime law, and his practice also includes:

  • civil litigation
  • construction disputes
  • commercial litigation
  • fisheries law
  • wills and estates litigation
  • personal injury
  • estates and trusts
  • insurance disputes, marine or otherwise

    • Victoria Bar Association
    • Law Society of British Columbia.
  • Eric served his hometown as a volunteer firefighter for several years and currently volunteers with the Pipes and Drums of the Canadian Scottish regiment in Victoria.
