Ciara grew up in Winnipeg, Canada speaking German and attending German school.  She moved to Victoria, Canada with her family and attended St. Michaels University School from grade 10 – 12.  She completed her first year of University at the University of Victoria, Canada and her second year at the Universität Bonn, Germany. She then transferred to the University of Wisconsin – Madison, USA and did a study abroad and internship in Brussels, Belgium.  She has a Bachelor of Art from Madison, USA with 3 majors and 2 certificates. 

In 2003 she volunteered at a foundation for street children and severely impoverished families in Romania for one year before returning to Canada to attend Law school.  During Law school she interned at the United Nations in Romania and did another study abroad at the University Kent, UK – Brussels, Belgium campus. She obtained her law degree from the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada.

Ciara moved back to the beautiful west coast to article in Victoria and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2009. Between 2009 and 2020 she continued her travels, worked and raised her daughter.

Although lawyers are not required to do specialized training in Immigration Law, Ciara completed the Immigration Consulting Diploma program from Ashton College in Vancouver, Canada in 2020.

Her travels, life experience and personal story have given Ciara a special appreciation for the process of immigration around the world.  A Humanitarian at heart, she has volunteered for many different organizations and always looks to share her knowledge with anyone in need.

She brings compassion, understanding and patience to her detailed analytical work. Ciara is an experienced and meticulous immigration lawyer, focusing on economic immigration. She helps businesses hire and retain international talent while guiding foreign workers through complex legal processes. She also provides comprehensive legal guidance for reuniting families through sponsorship applications and assists clients with transitioning from temporary to permanent residency in Canada.
