Articled Student

Aaron Webster earned his Juris Doctor with co-operative education from the University of Victoria, having previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies from Royal Roads University and a Diploma in Criminal Justice from Camosun College.

During his legal education, Aaron completed co-op work placements with the Department of Justice and the B.C. Ministry of Finance. At the Department of Justice, he worked in the Public Safety, Defence, and Immigration Section, where he supported counsel on numerous Federal Court judicial reviews of immigration decisions. His work included preparing memoranda of argument, conducting legal research, and contributing to litigation strategy in a fast-paced, high-volume practice. At the Ministry of Finance, Aaron worked in the Tax Appeals and Litigation Branch, analyzing taxpayers’ appeal submissions and financial records, communicating with taxpayers to obtain information and explain determinations, and drafting detailed memoranda and ministerial recommendation letters.

Before law school, Aaron served seven years in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an Aerospace Telecommunication and Information Systems Technician, where he was responsible for maintaining and repairing complex communication and radar systems. His time in the military fostered a strong attention to detail, a commitment to teamwork, and a practical approach to problem-solving.

Having grown up on Hornby Island and completed his undergraduate education in Victoria, Aaron has a strong and enduring connection to Vancouver Island, its communities, and its people. He is committed to providing professional and practical legal services to individuals and businesses across Vancouver Island and beyond.

Outside the office, he enjoys reading, staying active, keeping up with the latest shows and movies, and spending time with friends and family.
