Addressing fraud is essential to strengthening public trust and the integrity of the immigration system. Velletta Pedersen Christie’s Thanh Phan together with other members of the Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association’s Ethics Committee authored a report with 10 recommendations on how Canada can mitigate fraud and strengthen its immigration framework to protect those it aims to serve. The committee’s mandate is to help protect the public from fraud, unethical behaviour, and unscrupulous actors.
