Julie Hamilton
Articled Student

Julie is originally from Saskatoon. She moved to Victoria to attend the law program at the University of Victoria where she obtained her Juris Doctor in 2025. Prior to law school she studied political science, obtained a Master of Arts in Political Science from Carleton University, and worked for the federal public service.
Before starting her articling with the firm, Julie worked as a summer student at a family law firm in Duncan. During her summer, Julie gained experience working with a variety of family law issues including pension division, support issues relating to corporate and self-employed incomes, while also gaining experience in mediation. Julie then completed a term at the Law Centre, a free legal clinic. There she took on family law matters relating to child support, and spousal support, and represented her client in a successful mediation at the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal.
Throughout law school, Julie had a dedicated interest in family law and conducted research on issues relating to Indigenous families in the family law context. Julie is excited to develop her family law practice while also gaining experience in corporate law, wills and estate planning, and civil litigation.
